WHAT IS THE EMPLOYEE ACTION TEAM?
The mission statement of the Employee Action Team is:
"The City of Milton Employee Action Team (E.A.T.) is an inter-departmental body focused on improving work environments. We will be responsive, proactive and open-minded with a goal of educating and empowering all employees."
All employees should know that the E.A.T. is NOT an enforcement body. It is NOT out to find people who break the rules. It hopes to seek safety in the workplace and encourage policies and practices that will help to maintain a positive and healthy workplace.
WHO IS ON THE E.A.T.?
The goal is for E.A.T. members to change every few years to encourage involvement and awareness among all employees. The "inaugural" members of the E.A.T. are:
John Conger (Police Dept.)
Michelle Ebbert (Clerk/Treasurer Dept.)
Mike Griffin (DPW/Water Utility)
Ron Griffin (DPW)
Ryan Justice (Police Dept.)
Jerry Schuetz (Administrator's Dept.)
Stacey Schultz (Library)
We receive staff support from Pallin Allen, our Loss Control Specialist from CVMIC and Inga Jacobson, the City's Graduate Intern.
WHEN ARE MEETINGS?
The E.A.T. has monthly noon-hour meetings, and they are usually held at the Community House. Other employees are welcome to attend these meetings (check with your supervisor first). Agendas are available the week prior to the meeting on the EAT Bulletin Boards located in each department.

WHAT DOES THE E.A.T. PLAN TO DO?
E.A.T. members are still making specific work plans together with CVMIC. However, these are some things that we plan to address:
- Coordinate Programs Geared Towards Employee Satisfaction
- Coordinate Safety and Workplace Training Programs
- Pursue the Creation of Appropriate Workplace Policies
- Seek Solutions to Employee Feedback and Concerns
- Workplace Facility Safety Tour
HOW CAN EMPLOYEES PROVIDE FEEDBACK OR STAY UPDATED ON E.A.T. ACTIVITIES?
The E.A.T. plans to provide updates to employees on a regular basis. Meeting notices and minutes will be posted on each department’s bulletin boards. This webpage will also be continually maintained with archived E.A.T. information and resources for employees.
Any employee is welcome to contact any E.A.T. member with concerns or questions. Our team will work best when we have regular feedback from each of you. You will also receive your own supply of feedback forms which you can use to send us comments.
