City Seeks Feedback Regarding Sign Codes
The City of Milton is seeking feedback from Milton businesses regarding the City’s sign codes. In response to occasional concerns from local businesses regarding the signage approval process and code requirements, the Common Council has created an Ad-Hoc Sign Ordinance Review Committee to study the sign code. The Committee has met several times this year and is preparing to offer recommend code changes to the City’s Plan Commission. The Committee would like feedback from local businesses as part of their overall review of the sign code. Business representatives and the public are invited to attend a public listening session to be held by the Committee at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. The listening session will be located in the City Council Chambers (lower level of the Shaw Municipal Building, 430 E. High St.). For those who cannot attend this meeting, feedback may also be provided by completing a signage survey. Copies of the survey are available by clicking here or at the City Hall offices. Questions may be directed to City Administrator Todd Schmidt at (608)868-6900 (ext. 4) or by e-mail at tschmidt@ci.milton.wi.us.
