City Comprehensive Planning Meeting July 14th

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Monday, July 14th at 6:30 PM at The Gathering Place (715 Campus Lane, Milton) the City of Milton Plan Commission will be holding a public meeting to discuss and review the draft revisions to the City’s comprehensive plan. This is the fourth public meeting intended to gather public input as part of the City’s overall “Smart Growth” comprehensive planning effort.

The City’s planning consultants, Vandewalle & Associates, will use this meeting to present and obtain initial City and staff comments on the draft comprehensive plan document. The document, once adopted, will serve as a long-range guide to City decision making on land use issues, economic development, public infrastructure, and a host of other issues. The public will have an opportunity to learn what is in the draft comprehensive plan, and offer comments. In the near future the draft plan will also be made available on the City’s Web page and in the library for public review. Final adoption is expected in the fall.

Questions may be directed to City Administrator Todd Schmidt at (608)868-6900 (ext. 4) or by e-mail at tschmidt@ci.milton.wi.us.
