Online Payments Now Available


The City of Milton is now able to offer on-line electronic credit and debit payments for property taxes, utility bills and citations in cooperation with Official Payments Corp. These payments can be made by visiting the City’s Online Payments website. Payments are also accepted by phone at 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829). In order to make payments by phone the City of Milton’s Jurisdiction Code must be used. The Jurisdiction Code is 5984. Payments may be made securely with American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA.

Official Payments Corp. charges citizens a convenience fee for the service. The convenience fee for citation and utility bill payments is $5.95. The convenience fee for property tax payments is 2.75% of the tax payment.

Official Payments Corp. currently provides electronic payment services for the Internal Revenue Service, 26 states, and over 2,000 counties and municipalities. In Wisconsin alone, approximately 125 communities currently utilize this system.
