Absentee Voting for the August 11 Election

Absentee Voting for the August 11 Partisan Primary Election

In-person absentee voting will be held during regular City Hall office hours Tuesday, July 28, through Friday, August 7. Regular office hours are Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to Noon. City Hall will be open until 5 p.m. on August 7 for absentee voting and voter registration. Consider requesting an absentee ballot be mailed to you for the November 3 election.

Voters can also go online (www.myvote.wi.gov) to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. The deadline for voters to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for the August election is 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 6.

Online and mail in voter registration has ended. Anyone who needs to register to vote must register in person at City Hall or on Election Day at the polling location, the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The election on August 11 is a Partisan Primary, which means voters must choose a political party (Democrat, Republican, or Constitution) and they may only vote within that party. Please be sure to read the instructions carefully on the ballot.

Important Note: Beginning with the August election, all absentee ballot mail labels have Intelligent Mail Barcodes (IMBs), which allow voters to track the status of their absentee ballot on the www.myvote.wi.gov website. Voters click on the “Vote Absentee” tile, enter their name and birthdate, click search, and then click “View My Absentee Request.” Once the IMB is scanned by the United States Postal Service, an anticipated date of delivery will be posted under “My Absentee Status."

If you have any questions about the August or November elections, please contact City Clerk Leanne Schroeder at (608) 868-6900 ext. 2 or by email at lschroeder@milton-wi.gov.
